About the AAF Sacramento Ad Club

Mission Statement: “Our mission is to improve industry standards, offer social and networking opportunities, recognize the best in advertising and to educate and inform advertising professionals in the Sacramento region.

AAF Sacramento Ad Club is a non-profit club committed to providing scholarships for students pursuing education in the field of advertising which helps bring qualified professionals into our industry.”

The American Advertising Federation (AAF), headquartered in Washington, D.C., acts as the "Unifying Voice for Advertising." The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. The AAF has a national network of 200 ad clubs located in ad communities across the country. Through its 215 college chapters, the AAF provides 6,500 advertising students with real-world case studies and recruitment connections to corporate America. The AAF also has 130 blue-chip corporate members that are advertisers, agencies and media companies, comprising the nation's leading brands and corporations.

The Unifying Voice:

Laura Langerwerf

Laura started her career at RS&E in June 2003 as a student assistant. Upon receiving her bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Chico in 2004, she returned to RS&E and has since worked her way up to an account manager position. She currently manages advertising and marketing activities for various clients, including JACO Environmental (refrigerator recycling) and Drexel University.

In addition to her work at RS&E, Laura is heavily involved with the advertising community in Sacramento. She has been a member of the AAF Sacramento Ad Club for four years and has held various board and committee positions including: 2006 Public Relations Chair and Addy Awards Call for Entries Chair, 2007 College Outreach Chair, Addy Awards Call for Entries and Judging Day Chairs and is currently serving as co-chair for the 2008 Addy Awards.


Brenda Granucci

With more than 10 years of marketing and advertising experience, Brenda Granucci has an unquenchable thirst for learning and experiencing new things. She continues to expand her knowledge and experience by applying her marketing and branding expertise to a broad range of industries. From high-end kitchen appliances and gourmet chocolates to inertial-measurement products and telecommunications solutions, she has guided numerous national clients through brand development workshops; developed sound messaging platforms that have helped launch new brands and elevate existing brands to the next level; and has developed strategic marketing plans, communication strategies, and promotion schedules for new products.
